The UAE, through its humanitarian arm, the Red Crescent Authority, has provided relief to those affected by the floods in Somalia and provided them with urgent food aid. The Emirates Red Crescent Authority strengthened its humanitarian efforts to support those affected by the floods in the Beledweyne region in the state of Hershbili, Somalia, and provided urgent and various relief assistance to thousands of affected families, who were stranded as a result of the torrential floods, in cooperation with the competent authorities in the state.
The aid, which was provided by the Emirates Authority through its office in Mogadishu, included large quantities of foodstuffs and other necessary needs. The authority affirmed that this assistance comes within the framework of its initiatives to provide the humanitarian needs of brotherly and friendly peoples without discrimination, and to enhance the ability of those peoples to face challenges and emergency humanitarian conditions.
She explained that her movements in the areas affected by the floods in Somalia receive great attention from her supreme leadership, which follows up the field programs of the Red Crescent in various countries and arenas, and always seeks to adopt all initiatives that preserve human dignity.
She affirmed her keenness to implement initiatives that make a difference in her career in the field of humanitarian and development work, and add a new dimension to her strategy in the inclusiveness of giving, and not limiting it to specific and limited areas, noting that the diversity of projects and programs expands the umbrella of beneficiaries of the Red Crescent services regionally and internationally.

In addition, the families affected by the flood disaster in Somalia and the beneficiaries of the Emirates Red Crescent aid expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Authority for standing by their side and its keenness to alleviate their suffering, which expresses its stances towards all humanity.
