Somali-Ugandan cooperation in combating terrorism

 The Commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin, who is currently on a visit to Uganda, met with the Commander of the Ugandan Army, General Wilson Mbadi. It should be noted that the Somali Army Commander visited the Uganda National Defense College, where he was welcomed and met with many Ugandan army officers.

Muhyiddin discussed with his Ugandan counterpart strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as the Ugandan government promised to provide military support to Somalia in the war against terrorist militias.

The two military commanders stressed the importance of increasing joint operations to eliminate Al-Shabaab, and the Ugandan government expressed its readiness to stand by and support the Somali Armed Forces.
