Russia intends to launch a tourism mission to the International Space Station in 2025

 Glavkosmos, a subsidiary of the Russian state space company Roscosmos, announced that Moscow plans to conduct a tourism mission to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz MS spacecraft in the second half of next year 2025.

A company statement reported by the Russian Sputnik news agency on Monday said that the flight is scheduled to begin during the third or fourth quarter of 2025, and the launch site will be from the Baikonur Cosmodrome (Kazakhstan).

She explained that the duration of the trip to the International Space Station will be approximately 3 hours, and that the planned stay on the station is 10 days, while the total preparation time for the trip will be 10 months, and the period of active preparation for the trip is 4 to 5 months.

The company "Glafkosmos" added that the "Soyuz MS" spacecraft will carry a professional astronaut and two tourists, and the flight will include a medical examination, development of a flight program and personal training, and those preparing for the mission will receive sessions at the astronaut training center located in the Moscow region.
