The Minister of Information receives the Italian Ambassador to Somalia

 The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency Dawud Awis Jama, received the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Pier Mario Daco Coppi. During their meeting, the minister and the ambassador discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation in the fields of media, culture and tourism.

Minister Daoud pointed to the importance of tourism and the government's plans to promote tourism by establishing a tourism education institution, which is part of Somalia's plans to revitalize the tourism sector and create job opportunities for young people. Minister Jammeh briefed Ambassador Kobe on the situation in the country, including security, politics and the development of social welfare for the Somali people.

The Italian ambassador praised the improvements made by the Somali government and its people, and said that Italy was a great friend of Somalia and would take its role in future developments and support Somalia's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
