The President of Puntland State announces the members of his new government

 Last night, Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni announced the members of his new government, and the President's Office announced the names of 21 ministers. Jama Tabarani, Director of Information for the Presidency of Puntland State, read out the decree, which included members of the regional state government, but the list did not include deputy ministers and ministers of state.

A number of members of the former Puntland government, such as the ministers of justice, religious affairs, interior, security, and information, retained their positions, while the list included new ministers and women received three portfolios in the new lineup.

Said Abdullahi Deni was re-elected as President of Puntland on January 8, 2024. He had previously asked the regional parliament to extend the constitutional period in which he was allowed to form the government to conduct further consultations before appointing the government.
