Galmudug State Vice President Discusses Economic Infrastructure Improvement with Turkish Ambassador

Mogadishu – The Vice President of Galmudug State, Mr. Ali Tahir Iid, held an important meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, His Excellency Mr. Alper Aktaş. Discussions focused primarily on strengthening cooperation in development and rebuilding Galmudug’s economic infrastructure.

The two officials engaged in extensive discussions on various vital infrastructure projects. Key areas of focus included the development of Hobyo Port, road construction, and airport improvements in the Galmudug region. These projects are vital to enhancing the economic landscape and connectivity of the state.

Vice President Iid and Ambassador Aktaş also reached an agreement to encourage Turkish private companies to invest in Galmudug. This commitment stems from the recognition that Galmudug State currently enjoys a reliable security environment, making it an attractive destination for foreign investment.
