The Minister of Information meets with the Chinese Ambassador to the country

 The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Mr. Abdifatah Qasim Mahmoud, met today at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Wang Yu.

The meeting focused on strengthening the historical relations and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of media, culture, and tourism. The importance of strategic cooperation between Somalia and China was also discussed.

The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism expressed his gratitude to the People's Republic of China for its continued support to Somalia, emphasizing the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in general, and especially in the areas of media, culture, and tourism. The Minister also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in addressing violations that target the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both nations.

For his part, Ambassador Wang Yu warmly welcomed the new Minister of Information, praising the historical friendship and cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador affirmed the Chinese government's commitment to continuing its support for Somalia and strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual priority, including media, culture, and tourism.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to accelerate and enhance cooperation and relations between Somalia and the People's Republic of China, in a manner that serves their shared interests and the strategic partnership between the two countries.
