Saudi club Al-Ittihad has commented on reports linking them to a possible signing of Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior during the current summer transfer window.
Ramon Planes, the club's sporting director, said in statements reported by Radio Marca: "We have not negotiated or spoken with Vinicius."
However, Planes noted that "it's only natural for a player like Vinicius to be associated with a distinguished role with such power and influence," referring to the Saudi League.
Several previous reports had linked the Brazilian star with a move to the Saudi League, especially after negotiations between him and Real Madrid management over renewing his contract stalled.
Planes previously confirmed to the Spanish newspaper Marca that concluding such a deal is "possible and realistic, and could be beneficial for all parties."
Vinicius' current contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2027.
The 25-year-old striker has made 322 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 106 goals and providing 83 assists, and has won 14 titles with the team since joining in the summer of 2018 from Brazilian club Flamengo.
