Government forces maintain control over the vast forests in the Middle Shabelle region

 Somali forces, with the support of local residents, succeeded in retaking the “Aididka” area in Middle Shabelle region from the grip of Al-Shabaab.

The allied forces launched a massive attack on Al-Shabaab strongholds in the vast forests of the region, taking advantage of air cover provided by the aviation of international partners.

It is noteworthy that Al-Shabaab fighters have recently established their strongholds inside the forests north of the city of Mahaday in the Middle Shabelle region, which led to repeated confrontations between the fighters and the joint forces that continued for a month.
