The Somali President meets with the AFRICOM Commander to strengthen the security partnership
President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud met with General Michael E. Langley, Commander of US Africa Command (AFRICOM) in Mogadishu.The high-level discussions focused on cooperative efforts to combat terrorism, enhance the productive security partnership between Somalia and the United States, and address regional security concerns.
According to Villa Somalia, the meeting affirmed the commitment of both Somalia and the United States to work side by side to confront the challenges posed by terrorist threats in the region.
