The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Wednesday the list of nominees for the Best Awards in various categories.
Best African Player
The list of the best African player includes Moroccan Achraf Hakimi , the right-back for Paris Saint-Germain, and Egyptian star and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah .
Appearing alongside Salah and Hakimi was Moroccan Oussama El Miloudi, striker for the Moroccan Renaissance Berkane team.
The list also includes Nigerian Victor Osimhen, Congolese striker Feston Mayele of Pyramids FC, and Guinean striker Serowe Guirassy of Borussia Dortmund.
Best Coach Award
The list included 10 coaches who excelled with their teams during 2025, including 7 coaches of Arab teams.
The list also includes Mohamed Wahbi, coach of the Moroccan youth team, following the historic achievement of the "Atlas Cubs" winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
The list also includes Walid Regragui , coach of the Moroccan national team. Also among the nominees is Hossam Hassan, coach of the Egyptian national team.
The list included Tariq Al-Sakitawi, coach of the Moroccan national team for local players, and Moin Chaabani, technical director of the Moroccan club Nahdat Berkane.
Also competing for the Best Coach award are Croatian Krunoslav Jurisic, coach of the Egyptian club Pyramids, and Sami Trabelsi, coach of the Tunisian national team.
Best Goalkeeper Award
Moroccan international and Al-Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bounou is nominated in the goalkeeper category , along with Nahdat Berkane goalkeeper Munir El-Mohammadi.
Along with Cameroon's Andre Onana, Egypt's Ahmed El-Shenawy, Cape Verde's Fozinha, Nigeria's Stanley Nwabale, Senegal's Edouard Mandi and Marc Diouf, South Africa's Ronnie Williams, and Tunisia's Aymen Dahmen.
Best player in Africa
Mohamed Harimat from the Moroccan Royal Army, Osama El Miloudi from Renaissance Berkane, Mohamed Chibi from Pyramids FC, Algerian Ismail Belkacemi from Al-Ahly Tripoli, Imam Ashour from Al-Ahly, Ibrahim Adel from Pyramids FC, Platy Tre from Pyramids FC, Burkina Faso's Yassouf Dayo from Renaissance Berkane, and Congolese Feston Maile from Pyramids FC .
Best Young Player Award
Moroccan Othman Maama from Watford, Houssem El Sadek from Ittihad Touarga, and Abdallah Ouazzane from Ajax, in addition to Burkina Faso's Achraf Tapsoba, Ivorian Alinio Haidara, Congolese Noah Sidiki, Nigerian Daniel Bami, Sierra Leonean Momoh Camara, and South African duo Taylon Smith and Mbekele Mbokazi.
Best Club in 2025
Competing for the award are RS Berkane, CS Belouizdad of Algeria, CS Constantine of Algeria, ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast, Pyramids FC of Egypt, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, Orlando Pirates of South Africa, Stellenbosch FC of South Africa, Al Hilal of Sudan, and Simba SC of Tanzania.
Best team
The Moroccan national team, the Moroccan U-20 team, Algeria, Cape Verde, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia are competing for the Best Team award.
