A high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by H.E. Ali Yusuf Hosh, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, has arrived in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for an official working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The delegation includes the Commissioner for Disaster Management, Mr. Mahamuud Moallim, along with several senior government officials. During the visit, the Somali delegation is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with Pakistani counterparts to explore opportunities for collaboration in key strategic areas, including disaster management, internal security, and institutional capacity-building.
Discussions are expected to focus on Pakistan’s extensive experience in disaster preparedness and emergency response, security sector coordination, and public administration. The objective is to benefit from Pakistan’s institutional expertise in order to enhance Somalia’s national resilience, governance structures, and service delivery mechanisms.
Pakistan has consistently reaffirmed its support for Somalia’s peacebuilding, stabilization, and state-building efforts. This visit reflects the growing partnership between the two countries and their shared commitment to mutual cooperation, stability, and sustainable development.
Both sides emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral ties and fostering long-term collaboration that serves the interests of the peoples of Somalia and Pakistan.
