A delegation from the Federal Parliament is on a working visit to China.

 The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to China, Ms. Hudan Osman Abdi, along with embassy officials, received a delegation from the Somali Federal Parliament today at the Somali Embassy in Beijing. The delegation included members of parliament, senators, and staff from both houses of parliament, and the meeting took place as part of a working visit to China.

The discussions focused on ways to strengthen the strategic relationship between Somalia and China, develop joint cooperation, and accelerate bilateral partnership in areas of priority for both countries.

Ambassador Hadan briefed the delegation on developments in China, highlighting the embassy's key priorities over the past year, the achievements in Somali-Chinese relations, and efforts to expand cooperation in investment, trade, culture, and state institution development.

For their part, the delegation members commended the Somali Embassy in China for its role in enhancing Somalia's image and standing with the Chinese public, emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to attract investment and strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the importance of continuing to strengthen relations and cooperation between Somalia and China, as the two countries enter a new phase of strategic partnership and cooperation.
