The Peace and Security Council of the African Union Commission confirmed the discussion of the latest developments in Somalia, tomorrow, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of the African Union Commissioner for Political, Peace and Security, Ambassador Adewi Bankul.
The official account of the Peace and Security Council of the African Union Commission on Twitter indicated that the sessions will be attended by Ambassador Jean Kamau, Permanent Representative of Kenya to the African Union and President of the Peace and Security Council for the month of February, and the Special Representative of the African Union Commissioner and Head of the Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) Ambassador Francisco Madeira, representative of the Somali Federal Government.
He pointed out that among the topics that top the agenda is discussing the role of the African Union Mission in Somalia in the coming period, the security challenges facing Somalia, and strengthening efforts to build institutions and capacities and achieve sustainable development.
