The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed, once again, the continuation of the United Arab Emirates' steadfast support for the Somali people to achieve their development goals of stability, prosperity and a better future for their people. Sheikh Zayed's statements came during his reception of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud.
At Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi yesterday. The President of the United Arab Emirates welcomed the visit of the Somali leader and congratulated him on his inauguration as President of Somalia, wishing him success in leading his country and achieving the aspirations of his people for stability, development and peace. The Somali President also expressed his gratitude for the UAE's historical stance towards the people of Somalia.
He thanked Sheikh Zayed for his warm condolences to the people of Somalia, and the meeting discussed accelerating cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in the development fields, and the two sides discussed peace efforts in Somalia. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed the UAE's commitment to support the Somali people in their efforts to build a peaceful and stable future.
