The government of President Sheikh Mahmoud submitted a request to the Security Council to immediately lift the embargo on the supply of arms to Somalia and to provide it with modern weapons as soon as possible so that it can fight its internal war
President Sheikh Mahmoud intends to fight and eliminate the Al-Shabab movement and therefore intends to disarm the army with advanced weapons so as not to cause losses in the lives of soldiers because of the weapons, so they must be armed with the latest weapons
The announcement by the President and after him the Prime Minister to start the war on Al-Shabaab are serious and irreversible statements, so the army must prepare for their departure at any time to confront the terrorist Al-Shabaab movement throughout Somalia
President Sheikh Mahmoud is working on the implementation and return of the electoral campaign to eliminate the youth movement, so he is trying in various ways to bring modern weapons to the soldiers to facilitate the end of this war for the benefit of Somalia
Progress in al-Shabaab’s file comes alongside action in all files of its electoral promises, such as foreign relations, the issue of soldiers in Eritrea, as well as the relationship with regional governments and fighting drought. Therefore, the president should be thanked for his efforts.
