It seems that Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, will start the new season of the English Premier League, in a different way. The "Don" was the talk of the media and social pages, after reports spoke of his intention to leave the "Red Devils" in the current summer Mercato, due to the team's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Ronaldo, 37, missed the pre-season tour of "Man United" in Thailand and Australia for personal reasons, and participated for only 45 minutes in the friendly match against Rayo Vallecano last Sunday. And the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, stated that the future of the Portuguese star is still ambiguous, at a time when the “Premier League” competitions will start this weekend.
She added that Cristiano "is not part of coach Eric Ten Hag's plans to play the opening match of the league. Instead, the Dutch coach seeks to reward Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford for their good level during the preparations for the new season."
She indicated that Ronaldo may participate as a primary in one case, which is Martial's failure to recover from knee pain, adding, "But the Portuguese player is likely to start the season on the bench." Next Sunday, Manchester United will host Brighton at Old Trafford.
