With high-resolution technology, Adidas reveals the truth about Ronaldo's goal

Ronaldo

There was much controversy over the goal scored by the Portuguese national team, and it was calculated for Bruno Fernandez instead of Cristiano Ronaldo, who seemed to touch the ball with his head. The goal was initially awarded to Cristiano Ronaldo, but it was withdrawn from it later, and it was awarded to Bruno Fernandez, as it turned out that Ronaldo's header jump did not lead to touching the ball.

After the end of the match, Ronaldo appeared to demand that the goal be awarded to him, indicating with his hand that he touched the ball, but the situation did not change, and Fernandez remained the official scorer of the goal.

And according to Sky News, Adidas, the manufacturer of the official ball for the tournament, came out with a statement to resolve the great controversy that spread among the fans and divided the opinions. Adidas said that Ronaldo did not touch the ball that entered the goal, and its announcement came thanks to the return of the 500 Hz sensors, which are of high accuracy, inside the “journey” ball that was used in the match.

These sensors are located inside all of the "journey" balls in the tournament, and are used to calculate data after matches. In addition to these sensors, Adidas uses other sensors called "Connected Ball", a company-invented technology that is linked to an application and a special program that sends information about the ball directly to it.
