Manchester United win the League Cup and end a 6-year "drought".

 Manchester United completed its distinguished career this season, and achieved its first titles in England, by achieving the English Professional Football Clubs League Cup on Sunday night. Manchester United defeated Newcastle United in the final, 2-0, and played an excellent match that they dominated from the start.

Casemiro scored the first goal with a header in the 33rd minute and waited to confirm the validity of the goal after reviewing the video assistant referee. After 6 minutes, United added the second goal after a shot from Marcus Rashford changed direction at Newcastle defender Sven Putman and entered the goal of goalkeeper Loris Karius, who failed to clear it with his hand.

Newcastle pressed hard in the second half and created several chances, but the result did not change until the end. This is Manchester United's first local title since winning the League Cup under coach Jose Mourinho in 2017.
