Science arrives daily for more amazing discoveries about the Earth, as it is currently being talked about the existence of a huge ocean of water hidden under the earth's crust. According to the "Indy 100" website, scientists discovered that water is stored inside a rock called Ringo and Diet.
"Ringo and diete are like sponges, absorbing water," said geophysicist Steve Jacobsen. "There is something very special about the crystal structure of Ringo and dietet that allows it to attract hydrogen and trap water."
The geophysicist confirmed that what they found in their study is evidence of the water cycle around the entire Earth, and thus will help explain the presence of the huge amount of liquid water on the surface of the planet, which scientists have been searching for for decades.
And if Ringo and Diet contain only 1 percent water, that means there is three times more water under the Earth's surface than there is on the surface. This discovery may contribute to knowing the origin of water on the planet, and help identify the sources of seas and oceans, and thus better understand life on planet Earth.
