The Minister of Interior receives the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Somalia

 The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency Ahmed Moalim Faki, received on Sunday the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Somalia, His Excellency Ammar Ahmed, to discuss the situation in the two countries, bilateral relations and other issues of common interest.

Mr. Ahmed thanked the government and people of Somalia for their support and partnership with Sudan, adding that he would like to see more government policies regarding Sudanese citizens in Somalia.

On the other hand, Minister Faki stated that the Government of Somalia is closely monitoring the situation in Sudan, and reaffirmed Somalia's commitment to the legitimate government of Sudan.

The Minister also touched on the historical relationship between the Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Sudan, adding that Somalia is happy to receive Sudanese individuals, professionals and investors in its cities and communities.
