Somali Students Shine at Major Cultural Exhibition in Changsha, China
Changsha, the capital of Hunan Province in China, this week hosted a major cultural exhibition that brought together a large number of international students, including Somali students studying across the country.
The event, organized by Central South University (CSU), welcomed university officials, invited guests, and students representing more than 40 countries, with Somalia among the participants.
Somali students impressed attendees with a traditional dance performance and a diverse array of Somali cultural dishes. Youth dressed in traditional Somali attire proudly carried the national flag, delivering a vibrant display that captured the attention of the entire audience. Somalia ranked among the top performers in the exhibition’s evaluations.
Ahmed Abdirahman Ibrahim, Chairman of the Somali Students’ Association in Changsha, noted that the students had made thorough preparations and presented a strong performance that enhanced Somalia’s international image. He offered special praise to the Somali female students for their significant contribution to the exhibition.
University officials and other international participants expressed their appreciation for the Somali students’ excellent presentation, describing it as a highlight of the event and an important display of cultural diplomacy.
This exhibition not only celebrated cultural diversity but also strengthened international ties, showcasing Somalia’s rich heritage and the talent of its youth on a global platform.
