Norwegian striker Erling Haaland continued to break records with Manchester City with a terrifying scoring rate of more than one goal per game, as he succeeded yesterday, Saturday, in surpassing Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo in the list of all-time top scorers in the English Premier League.

West Ham was the latest victim of the young striker, who scored two goals against them, one in each half, bringing his tally to 19 goals in 17 matches this season. He also set up a goal for his teammate Tijani Raynders in the match that ended with Manchester City winning 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Haaland reached his 38th goal in 28 appearances for City and the Norwegian national team this year, in what could be the most prolific season of his career, especially as his dream of participating in the World Cup for the first time with Norway draws closer .

He also reached his 104th Premier League goal , surpassing Ronaldo's record by one goal. What's amazing is that Haaland achieved this record by playing 122 fewer matches than the Portuguese star, who had two stints with Manchester United .

Haaland has scored his 104th goal in 114 games, while Ronaldo has scored 103 in 236 games.

Haaland has provided 21 assists so far, compared to 47 for Ronaldo.

In his team's match against West Ham, Haaland opened the scoring early in the fifth minute after following up on Phil Foden's cross, then returned in the 69th minute to take advantage of his opponent's defensive confusion and complete the hat trick. In between, he provided a crucial pass to Rayners.
