The Somali government approves the country's budget for 2024
In an extraordinary meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Somali Federal Government, Hamza Abdi Barre, on Saturday, the Council of Ministers approved the country’s 2024 budget amounting to $1,025,687,991.
The government's budget this year increased to one billion dollars due to an increase in internal revenues that reached 20%, according to the government, which indicated that the budget gives priority to national security and enhancing social services.
The Prime Minister said that the increase in the national budget indicates our dedication and commitment to obtain full debt relief, after which the increase will be higher than the current increase.
