A delegation from the Somali Federal Government, headed by Defense Minister Abdiqadir Mohamed Nour, visited the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.

The Minister and his accompanying delegation were received at the airport by officials from the Ethiopian Ministry of Defense and members of the Somali Embassy in Ethiopia. The Somali minister is expected to hold various meetings with Ethiopian officials to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries.

Ethiopia, which shares its longest border with Somalia among its borders with its six neighbors, contributes forces to the African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia, “Atmes,” which is expected to completely withdraw from the country by the end of next year, as planned.
