The presidents of Somalia and Djibouti pledge to strengthen cooperation for regional stability
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud met with Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the deep relationship between their two countries and enhancing cooperation in various fields, including security and economy.The meeting focused on enhancing joint efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the region, taking into account the current political and security situation, and the two leaders agreed to intensify their cooperation to confront regional challenges and ensure sustainable progress.
President Mahmoud praised President Guelleh for his pivotal role in promoting peace and stability in the Horn of Africa, stressed the importance of Djibouti's contributions to regional stability and expressed his commitment to working closely with President Guelleh to achieve common goals.
