The Prime Minister of Somalia leaves for Iraq to discuss strengthening relations between the two countries
Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, heading a government delegation, left Adam Adi International Airport in Mogadishu today, heading to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. A brief statement from the Prime Minister's Office indicated that Hamza received an official invitation from his Iraqi counterpart, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to visit Iraq.It is expected that the Prime Minister of the Somali Federal Government, Hamza Abdi Barre, will meet during his presence in Baghdad with Iraqi officials to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
The two leaders will also discuss security and economic cooperation and advancing the horizon of cooperation between the two countries in various fields. The visit is considered an important step in improving diplomatic relations between Somalia and Iraq, according to officials from both countries.
