Somali Finance Minister, Bihi Iman Aghi, met with Jihad Azor, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, in Washington, DC.
The meeting addressed progress made in Somalia's three-year economic reform programme, which aims to enhance domestic revenue mobilization and improve public financial management.
Minister Bihi praised the ongoing cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, expressing his commitment to achieving the program objectives. For its part, the management of the International Monetary Fund affirmed its support for Somali reform efforts and the importance of cooperation to achieve success in this field.
