President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud discusses strengthening relations with Libya, Malaysia in Davos

 President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held high-level bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships for shared development and prosperity.

President Mohamud met with His Excellency Mohamed Menfi, Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, to discuss strengthening the historical relationship between Somalia and Libya. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest and deepening relations between the two countries.

In a separate meeting, President Mohamud met with His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, to explore opportunities for greater cooperation. The leaders highlighted shared priorities, including trade, education and sustainable development, and stressed the potential for stronger relations between Somalia and Malaysia.
