Somali Ambassador to Egypt Meets Sudanese Officials to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, His Excellency Ali Abdi Aware, held a meeting at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, His Excellency Ali Youssef Al-Sharif, and the Ambassador of Sudan to Egypt, Major General Imad Al-Din Mustafa.During the meeting, Minister Al-Sharif praised the deep relations between Somalia and Sudan and expressed his gratitude for Somalia’s gracious reception of the Sudanese community residing in the country. He also provided an overview of the current political situation in Sudan, stressing the importance of regional cooperation in addressing common challenges.
Ambassador Awari, for his part, emphasized the strong relationship between the two countries and highlighted the importance of cooperation across various sectors. He thanked the Sudanese officials for the opportunity to exchange views and enhance mutual understanding. The meeting noted the enduring ties between Somalia and Sudan and affirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing regional stability.
