The Somali Prime Minister conducts a cabinet reshuffle and appoints new ministers
Somali Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre, made a cabinet reshuffle on Monday, including fundamental changes to key ministerial positions.
Among the most prominent changes is the dismissal of Abdelkader Mohamed Nour from his position as Minister of Defense, and his appointment as Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport. Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi was also appointed Minister of Defence.
The amendment also included changes in several other ministries, according to a decree issued by the Prime Minister's Office.
This ministerial reshuffle comes at a time when Somalia is witnessing complex political and security developments, as the government continues its efforts to enhance good governance and confront national challenges.
