Somalia and Egypt pledge to strengthen government cooperation during a high-level meeting in Cairo
A high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, headed by the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Kamal Tahir Gotale, held a strategic meeting with Major General Osama Sayed, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Council of Ministers, in Cairo.
Discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations between Somalia and Egypt, especially in areas related to institutional development, modernizing public sector governance, and building the capabilities of civil servants.
The two sides stressed the importance of exchanging knowledge and joint cooperation to accelerate the achievement of development goals and improve the provision of services. The Somali delegation expressed its appreciation for the generous Egyptian hospitality and affirmed its commitment to building a fruitful and lasting partnership between the two brotherly countries.
