The Minister of Trade and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamud Adam Geisod, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Djibouti, Abdelkader Kamel Mohamed, during his official visit to Djibouti.
Discussions between the officials focused on enhancing trade cooperation between Somalia and Djibouti, and they stressed the importance of improving the movement of goods and encouraging investment in commercial projects between the two countries.
Minister Guissaud expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of Djibouti for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to the Somali delegation, noting that the visit represents an important step towards strengthening strategic and economic relations.
Both Somalia and Djibouti stressed the depth of their relationship, which extends across various sectors, including security, politics and economics, and the meeting was considered a positive development in the efforts made to enhance regional trade integration and cooperation, and to promote economic growth and stability in the Horn of Africa region.
