The President of Somalia meets with the Commander of the US Africa Command
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met with General Michael E. Langley, commander of US Africa Command (AFRICOM), in the capital, Mogadishu.
The meeting discussed strengthening the security partnership between Somalia and the United States, and focused on accelerating joint efforts to combat terrorism and enhancing coordination within the broader multi-partner framework, including the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud expressed Somalia's deep appreciation for the steadfast American support in the ongoing war against international terrorism.
