Mayor of Mogadishu Meets Sudanese Ambassador
Mogadishu – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of the capital, Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein "Monggap," met with the Sudanese Ambassador to Somalia, His Excellency Abdulrahman Khalil Effendi.
Monggap and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance cooperation between Mogadishu and Khartoum during the meeting, which emphasized mutual opportunities and the exchange of expertise between the two cities.
The Mayor of Mogadishu praised the Sudanese government's support for Somalia and wished the brotherly country a speedy recovery from the civil conflicts that have ravaged it. The Ambassador praised the warm welcome and briefed the Mayor on the situation of the Sudanese community in Mogadishu.
