Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola spoke on Friday about the injury of striker Omar Marmoush, ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Guardiola told Sky Sports, " Marmoush is out. The duration of his absence has not yet been determined, and he will undergo final tests.
The Spanish coach added, "I think he will be out for a few weeks. After the next international break, he will be ready."
It is noteworthy that the next international break is scheduled for October.
Marmoush suffered a knee injury while playing for the Egyptian national team in a match against Burkina Faso on Tuesday.
The Egyptian national team doctor said that the 26-year-old player suffers from a bruised knee ligament.
Manchester City announced that their Egyptian striker will miss Sunday's Manchester derby, in a preliminary assessment of his absence.
Marmoush, who joined City in January, finished last season with eight goals and four assists in all competitions, but has yet to score for them this season.
