The Foreign Minister holds talks with his Omani counterpart
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held official talks with His Excellency Mr. Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, at the Ministry's headquarters in Muscat, during an official visit to the Sultanate.The discussions between the two sides focused on strengthening bilateral relations and developing areas of cooperation, contributing to the consolidation of the historical partnership and shared interests between the two brotherly countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional issues, particularly in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing the importance of cooperation at the regional and international levels to enhance security and stability and achieve sustainable development.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi reaffirmed his country's unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, emphasizing the Sultanate of Oman's rejection of any entities or movements operating outside the framework of the Somali state.
For his part, Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali expressed his gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for its active diplomatic role and its efforts in supporting dialogue, reconciliation, and promoting stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Hassan Mohammed, Director of the Department of Arab Affairs, and Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department in the Sultanate of Oman, along with several officials from both sides.
