Over the past few days, the Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad, held important meetings in Washington, D.C., with leaders from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). These meetings focused on strengthening cooperation in intelligence, counterterrorism, and developing the historical relationship between Somalia and the United States.

The Director General also visited the headquarters of U.S. Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he held a significant meeting with Colonel Benander, the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, who previously served in Somalia.

The director expressed his gratitude to the United States government for its support and cooperation with Somalia, particularly in the areas of security and counter-terrorism, noting that this cooperation has yielded tangible results, including recent operations targeting prominent leaders of the Kharijite terrorist militias.
