The Minister of Fisheries concludes the seventh conference of the Board of Directors and Development of the Fisheries Sector

 The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Hassan Adam, concluded the seventh conference of the Fisheries Sector Management and Development Council on Saturday.

The two-day conference was attended by the fisheries ministers of the country's regional states, the Deputy Governor of Banadir, and other officials. The conference focused on ways to promote sustainable development in the fisheries sector and ensure that Somali society directly benefits from the country's rich marine resources.

During the conference, His Excellency the Minister presented a detailed report on the important plans prepared by the Ministry to develop fisheries and the blue economy. The Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy noted that the Ministry is implementing several public projects in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
