Somalia and Egypt discuss strengthening their strategic partnership and expanding areas of cooperation.

 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, held a meeting today with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Somalia, Mr. Mohamed Salah Hassan Qashta, at the Ministry headquarters in Mogadishu.

During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and expand the horizons of joint cooperation, particularly in the fields of diplomacy, regional security, and education, in addition to enhancing strategic coordination on issues of common interest.

Both sides stressed the importance of raising the level of partnership between Somalia and Egypt, reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations that unite the two countries, and contributing to achieving common interests and supporting security and stability in the region.
