The Deputy Prime Minister oversees the handover ceremony of the Ministry of Information to the new minister.
On Tuesday, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Saleh Ahmed Jama, oversaw the handover ceremony of the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism between the new Minister, Abdifatah Qasim Mahmoud, and the outgoing Minister, Daoud Aweis Jama.During the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister urged the new Minister to demonstrate competence and transparency in carrying out his duties, wishing him success in his new role. Saleh Ahmed Jama also commended the efforts of the outgoing Minister during his tenure, praising what he described as his "good performance" in managing the media, culture, and tourism portfolios.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Information is a vital institution within the government, given its role in supporting government performance and enhancing communication with citizens. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the ministry's staff, commending their contributions to national efforts and their role in fulfilling the government's responsibilities.
