Officially .. "Twitter" has become "X"

 On Monday, the micro-blogging site "Twitter" changed its name and image on the official account from the sparrow to the letter "X", and its owner, the American billionaire, Elon Musk, put the new logo on the image of his official account.

What happened on Twitter?

The image of the official Twitter account on the same platform has become the letter "X" written in white lettering on a black background.

• The account name also changed to the letter "X", but the word "Twitter" remained in small print after the @ email sign.
• The logo that accompanied "Twitter" since its inception, the white bird with a blue background, was absent from the account, which is followed by 65 million tweeters.
• Some other official Twitter accounts, such as the business account, did not change the old logo until Monday morning.
• This appears to be a first step in implementing Musk's promise to change the platform's name and logo.
• And in the early hours of Monday morning, Elon Musk changed his account picture on Twitter, putting the letter "X" in place of his usual image for tens of millions of followers. He wrote a one-letter tweet that was the same letter.

Sequence of events

• Musk had said earlier that he was looking forward to changing the logo of the social networking platform Twitter.
• He wrote on his platform: "We will soon bid farewell to the Twitter brand, and gradually to all birds."
• Under Musk's vocal leadership of the platform since he bought it last October, the company has changed its business name to XCorp, reflecting the billionaire's vision of developing a "super app" on the lines of China's WeChat.
• Twitter has in the past described the former logo, the white bird, as "our most distinctive asset" and added, "that's why we protect it so fiercely."
• The bird's logo was temporarily changed in April to the image of the Shiba Inu dog on the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, which helped increase the currency's market value by $4 billion.
