President Hassan Sheikh: There is no dialogue with Al-Shabaab and we will continue the war against it

 Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud ruled out any dialogue between his government and Al-Shabaab, and indicated that the Somali government is committed to eliminating the group militarily.

The president said that the government achieved great success in the war against Al-Shabaab and liberated much of the territory to which the government restored stability.

The President explained that there is a need to liberate all areas of the country from Al-Shabaab, adding that friends can support the war with weapons and other needs, but it is the Somalis who must confront Al-Shabaab militants on the battlefields.

The President stated that the Somali government succeeded in liberating more than 80 areas from Al-Shabaab fighters and drying up the economic group's resources.
