Puntland state charges the Somali government
The Minister of Information in the Puntland State Government, Mahmoud Aidid Durar, in a press conference held on Tuesday in Growe, the state capital, made accusations against the Somali federal government.Durar said that the Somali presidency is working to destroy Puntland, and added that it is creating chaos and insecurity in his state. The Minister of Information in Puntland stated that the Somali government is using special interests and members of parliament elected from his state to interfere in the affairs of the state to destabilize it.
The Somali government has not yet responded to the accusations directed against it by Puntland, which coincide with sharp disagreements in the state regarding the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections.
