The Minister of Finance meets with the representative of the World Bank in Somalia

 On Sunday, Bihi Iman Aghi, Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, met with the World Bank Representative in Somalia, Christina Svensson. The meeting touched on the development projects implemented by the World Bank in Somalia and how to closely cooperate between the World Bank and the Somali government.

During the meeting, the technical and financial support provided by the World Bank to the Somali government was discussed. The meeting also focused on issues of financial reform and strengthening the public financial management process.

The Minister of Finance expressed his happiness in welcoming the representative of the World Bank to the Ministry’s headquarters, noting that he discussed with her the financial restructuring programme, promoting good governance, the projects with which the Bank supports Somalia, and the development and reform of the country’s economy.
