 On Sunday, the finance ministries of the federal government and regional state governments, with the exception of Puntland State, and representatives from the Banadir Regional Administration held a meeting in the capital, Mogadishu, to discuss development projects, tax policies and economic reform in the country.

The meeting, which was held amid ongoing efforts to reform Somalia's financial system, received great attention due to its ability to shape the country's economic trajectory, and participants addressed a wide range of topics, from development projects to tax policies, with the overarching goal of strengthening consensus and driving progress.

The Finance Ministers of the Federal and Regional Governments affirmed the success of the meeting, and highlighted the agreements reached on key issues pivotal to advancing the financial reform agenda in Somalia.
