President Hassan Sheikh receives the Italian Chief of Defense Staff

 On Tuesday, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, received Admiral Giuseppe Caffo Dragone, the Italian Chief of Defense Staff.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Commander of the Somali Army, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin, with the Italian official, the President discussed ways to enhance Somali-Italian security cooperation, including combating terrorism and supporting the development of the security sector.

The visit of the Italian Chief of Defense Staff to Somalia aims to strengthen cooperation between his country and Somalia in the field of training and equipping the Somali armed forces, and Dragone promised that the Italian government would play a full role in this field.
