The UAE and Somalia are discussing ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation relations

 His Excellency Dr. Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council, discussed with His Excellency Saeed Mohamed Mahmoud, Head of the People’s Assembly delegation in the Republic of Somalia, ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation relations between the two councils.

Emphasizing the importance of exchanging visits and meetings between the two sides, as well as addressing the issues on the agenda of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference. This came during the meeting that took place between them on the sidelines of participation in the thirty-sixth conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Algeria.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Salem Rashid Al-Maftul and Sheikh Saeed bin Surur Al-Sharqi, members of the Council, and Tariq Ahmed Al-Marzouqi, Assistant Secretary-General for Council Presidency Affairs.
