The Somali Foreign Ministry praises the firm Egyptian position in support of Somalia’s sovereignty

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Somali government praised the Egyptian steadfast position in support of Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and their constant assistance in difficult situations.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation for Egypt’s position calling for the necessity of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Somalia.

Dr. was Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, stressed in a press conference held with his Turkish counterpart, Mr. Hakan Fidan, Egypt’s firm position on the necessity of preserving the unity of the Somali state and rejecting the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the separatist region of Somaliland and Ethiopia in January 2024.
