Al-Azhar Undersecretary receives former Somali Minister of Endowments

 His Eminence Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Dweini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar, received Sheikh Abdul Qader Sheikh Ali Ibrahim, former Somali Minister of Endowments, to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of advocacy.

Al-Azhar's Undersecretary congratulated the former Somali Minister of Endowments on his honoring by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and that it is a kind gesture from the President to Somali scholars, indicating that Al-Azhar has a global message, which it is keen to spread throughout the world, and it is a trust that it has been carrying for several centuries, and it also works to spread the correct image of the Islamic religion; this religion carries goodness to the entire world.

For his part, the former Somali Minister of Endowments expressed his thanks and appreciation to Al-Azhar and its Grand Imam, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, for his efforts in serving Islam and the issues of the Arab nation, indicating that the moderation adopted by Al-Azhar contributed greatly to exporting a good image of Islam, and also confronted the owners of extremist ideas, who tried to distort this religion.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi awarded the former Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs and former Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Abdul Qader Sheikh Ali Ibrahim “Baghdadi”, the First Class Medal of Science and Arts, during the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments’ celebration of the anniversary of the birth of our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, on Monday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 AH - corresponding to September 16, 2024 AD.
